These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Visual Inbox (the “Service”), available at visualinbox.net. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Visual Inbox is an independent personal project created and operated by César A. Hidalgo (“we,” “us,” “our”).

Visual Inbox provides tools to visualize and explore communication patterns using data you choose to connect or upload (for example, Gmail metadata via the Gmail API, Google Calendar data via the Google Calendar API, and optional Slack workspace export files).
The Service is currently offered as a free personal project. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
The Service is provided for informational and personal insight purposes only and does not provide legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country, you may use the Service only with appropriate consent from a parent or legal guardian.
If you connect Google services, you will do so using Google OAuth. You control permissions through Google’s consent screen and can revoke access at any time in your Google Account settings.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your accounts and your device.
If you upload Slack workspace data, you acknowledge and agree that:
We are not responsible for your decision to upload Slack export data or for any consequences arising from unauthorized or improper use.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the Service accesses and how it is processed and stored.
In general, the Service is designed so that your Gmail/Calendar/Slack content is processed locally in your browser. The in-app “Logout & Delete” feature allows you to remove locally stored data from the Service.
You agree not to:
We own the Service and its associated software, designs, and content, excluding content you provide (such as Slack export files) and third-party services/content.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal purposes, subject to these Terms.
All third-party trademarks and product names (e.g., Google, Gmail, Slack) are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
You retain any rights you have in the data you connect or upload. By using the Service, you grant us permission to process that data solely as necessary to provide the Service to you, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant that you have the rights and permissions necessary to provide any data you upload or connect (including Slack exports).
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that visualizations or metrics will be accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, users, or infrastructure.
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can remove locally stored data using “Logout & Delete.” You can revoke Google permissions through your Google Account settings.
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and post the revised Terms on this page.
By continuing to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.
